About CarryShield Reviews

CarryShield Reviews is an independent editorial publication covering concealed carry insurance, state permit processes, and firearms-related legal protection. We help carriers make informed decisions about coverage, providers, and the legal landscape around defensive firearm use.

What We Cover

Three main areas:

Who We Are

We're a small editorial team based in the United States. Our writers research and draft content. Every article that touches firearms law, insurance products, or state permit processes is fact-checked by a credentialed concealed carry instructor before publication. See our reviewer's bio for credentials.

How We Make Money

We're reader-supported. When you click certain links and purchase a membership through one of our reviews, we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra. The commission comes from the provider's marketing budget.

Our rankings are not based on commission rates. Commission rates across the major CCW insurance providers are roughly comparable. We have no financial reason to push one provider over another. Read our full affiliate disclosure for details.

Our Editorial Standards

Two principles guide everything we publish:

Accuracy first. Concealed carry sits at the intersection of legal compliance and personal safety. Bad information can have real consequences. Every page is fact-checked. Every state law citation is verified. Pages are re-reviewed quarterly.

Reader interest, not provider interest. When our analysis disagrees with a provider's marketing, we publish the analysis. When a partner pauses or changes terms, we update the relevant pages within 7 days.

What We're Not

We're not lawyers. We're not licensed insurance brokers. We're not affiliated with any government agency, including the State of New Hampshire or any state firearms licensing authority.

Our content is informational. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney. For insurance recommendations in the regulatory sense, consult a licensed broker.
